The Associates are all Newnham alumnae, and are keen to help other members of the Roll. We do this in several ways.
As well as our regular workshops for students, we hold occasional workshops for alumnae, usually on topics related to careers. See our list of events for details. If you have a suggestion for a workshop topic, please get in touch or add a comment to this page.
Associates are happy to help individual alumnae. We can help in many different ways, including giving advice, mentoring, or just listening. Associates can be contacted directly by any member of the College, past or present, who might benefit from any aspect of our experience. We offer individual advice and help in finding work experience, choosing or changing career, and practical help on presenting a good CV and interview technique. We also offer networking opportunities, and contacts for those working or travelling abroad. Each Associate’s profile shows whether she is prepared to help by offering careers advice, vetting CVs, or offering work shadowing opportunities, but the types of help that Associates can give are by no means limited to these. If you think someone might be able to help you, just get in touch with her through the Associates’ directory.
We hold occasional social and networking events for alumnae and guests, usually in London, which as well as being great fun provide good networking opportunities. We are also involved with the subject networking lunches for alumnae and students held at the College. Many of us are also members of local groups of Newnham alumnae.
