Newnham College Associates

Become an Associate

New members are elected at the Associates' AGM, held in November each year. They serve for a term of about 10 years. Candidates may be nominated and seconded by two Associates or by the Roll through the Roll Committee.

A potential Associate is someone who has a proven track record in her chosen career path, unsung or well known, with qualities, skills and experience that could be used to help the College and its students. Candidates must be interested in the future of Newnham, and be prepared to give some time to the College.

Newnham College Associates

Candidates for election may be nominated by an Associate, by the College Roll Committee or can simply put themselves forward if they are interested. The Associates' Membership Committee is tasked with identifying suitable candidates and recommends candidates to the AGM. In electing new Associates we seek to renew and enrich the range of backgrounds, skills and experience we make available to the College.

The process of application and election is quite straightforward and someone from the Committee will talk you through it.

If you are interested in becoming an Associate or wish to propose someone for election please contact the Secretary.
