Fundraising and Development

We facilitate the fundraising activities of the Development Trust and support a number of events designed to further the good name and promote the interests of the College in the outside world. Associates actively supported the alumnae telephone fundraising campaigns, and were closely involved in the recruitment and training of the student calling team. Individual Associates have acted as advisers and 'door openers' in approaches to potential benefactors, charitable trusts and foundations.

We have given active support to other external activities, such as the 2005 Ottoman Experience Tour, and to the establishment of local alumnae groups.

All the Associates, and many former Associates, donated to the first phase of the College's Development Campaign, launched in 2000; the Fine Binding Fund, established by the Associates in 1983, contributes to the expense of conservation and repair of the library's collection of antiquarian books.
