Events

The Associates hold two meetings a year at Newnham, in June and November, and hold regular careers events and networking lunches organised jointly with the JCR and MCR.

Wednesday 28 April Sarah Dunant puts the 'Her' into History

Sarah Dunant, Newnhamite and best-selling author of In the Company of the Courtesan, The Birth of Venus and Sacred Hearts, will be putting the 'Her' into History. In this illustrated talk she will tell the story of her discoveries, and how the research of new historians has enabled her to write a different kind of historical novel; one which mixes the complexities of politics, religion and culture along with emotion, the senses and the appetites of both the body and the soul. Her story: The Italian Renaissance from a new perspective.

Tickets cost £25, including drinks and finger food.

Open to all Associates, members of the Roll, and their guests.
