| Description |
I spent my whole career as a civil servant in the Ministry Of Justice, working part time while our two sons were young. I also had two years off work with a mystery virus and successfully returned to work, learning a lot in the process which I have used since in customer focused work in justice and health. After this I was responsible for access to justice, the Human Rights Act, and for policy on family, civil and administrative justice and finally legal aid. I am now retired and working as a trustee with LawWorks( the solicitors pro bono group)and LawforLife ( public legal education). I am a member of the Civil Justice Council and worked on their report on access to justice for litigants in person. I am a Council member of Justice. Locally I am a public governor of my local NHS Mental health Trust. I love gardening here in London and in France.
